The Issue: Messy Yards

This seems to be the time of year that hornets and wasps are very grouchy, which has kept me from keeping my front yard as groomed as I would like it to be.

I think a well kept yard, both front and back, brings contentment for both the homeowner and neighbors, and therefore it is well worth the effort to keep our yards tidy.

We have such a short summer season here in comparison to some other places, and maybe that is a good reason for up-keeping our yards…and enjoying the results that a nicely manicured yard brings.

I know my yard needs some greenery attention, but we do try to keep it free of the clutter of junk, and have a place in the garage or storage shed for tools, rakes and the like.

It sure is pleasant to drive through the Fort and see the lovely kept yards… but it sure is frustrating to see some yards that look like a tornado has just swept through their yard.

But then, maybe, the Community Standard by- law will one day enforce some folks to exert effort into keeping a tidy yard?
