Fort Still Gathering Friends
In support of the “Bringing History to Life” campaign to raise funds for the 1875-1885 NWMP Fort Representation, the local TD Canada Trust Branch donated $1500 this week, leaving just under $100,000 left to raise for Phase III.
“We are very pleased that TD Canada Trust is supporting our rich history,” said Mayor Gale Katchur. “Their donation is another example of the generosity of this community.”
“Every donation brings us one step closer to our goal. We are so grateful for their financial support and I encourage others to follow in the footsteps of TD Canada Trust,” Katchur continued.
Phase III of the 1875 – 1885 NWMP Fort includes building the stables and guard house. Donations in any amount can be made at CPS, 10005 – 100 Avenue, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
