Farmers’ Market Returns Next Week
The Farmers’ Market is gearing up for another successful opening next week with a free hot dog giveaway. The market will kick-off at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 21, in the CN Station Parking lot with a free hot dog barbecue, sponsored by Agrium. Auggie, the city’s sheep mascot, will be making a special appearance at the first market.
“Thursday evenings at the market are quickly becoming Fort Saskatchewan’s favorite thing to do,” says market chairperson Jessica Harquail. “This year you can expect the same great products with new vendors coming in weekly.”
Located in the CN Station parking lot, the market runs every Thursday rain or shine from 4:30-7:30 p.m. until September 6. Over 80 stalls will be featured offering a variety of local produce, baked goods, crafts and many other unique items. All market visitors are encouraged to leave their pets at home.
