Sturgeon County Wins Awards

Sturgeon County’s Economic Development team won two marketing awards during the Economic Developers Association of Alberta (EDA) annual award banquet on April 12, 2012. The event was held at the Delta Kananaskis Lodge in Kananaskis. The EDA Awards of Excellence honour communities and individuals for excellence in business attraction, retention, expansion and marketing in Alberta.

The County’s awards were for last year’s Canada Day celebration held at Edmonton Garrison, which won in the Special Events category. Their “Start in Sturgeon” golf sleeve won in “Creative Innovations.”
