Census: Fort Saskatchewan Maintains Growth
2011 Census numbers released by Statistics Canada last week verified that Fort Saskatchewan grew substantially from 2006 to 2011.
The City’s population was pegged at 19,051 residents — up from 14,957 individuals in 2006.
This equates to a growth rate of over 27%, substantially higher than the provincial average of nearly 12%.
Fort Saskatchewan also has a very high rate of home ownership – of all dwellings surveyed, over 90% were owner-occupied.
