Redwater Fire Ban Extended

Town officials imposed a Redwater-wide fire ban last Tuesday, prohibiting the issuance of fire permits, canceling existing permits, disallowing campfires, and ordering any existing fires to be extinguished. NEW HOTEL

Another positive in our business community: a new hotel is being constructed behind the Park Avenue Inn by that business’ owners. Stars Inns and Suites is slated to open next March. Once completed, it will be a four-storey building with 92 rooms.

GALA RAISES $82,000

The Boys and Girls Club of Fort Saskatchewan raised over $40,000 at their annual fundraising Gala last month to help support the society’s programs and services, with an additional $42,000 being donated to help fund a new bus.

FIRE BAN IN EFFECT

A partial fire ban remains in effect, due to the extreme windy and dry conditions in the region. Fires in all non-residential areas (City Parks) and portable briquette barbecues are banned, however the ban does not impact propane and natural gas barbecues and residential wood burning fire pits.
