Garden Plots Available
Fort Saskatchewan’s Youth Environmental Group (YEG) is excited to announce the arrival of a Community Garden in Fort Saskatchewan. The idea was initiated by YEG during a presentation to Council. YEG believes that the garden will benefit the environment and the community, by improving air quality, beautifying the environment, and promoting sustainability. They also point out that the garden allows those without room for their own garden to grow produce.
Located between 86 Avenue and 109 Street, the garden offers affordable plots; $20 for a 10×10 space, $30 for a 10×20 space and $40 for a 20×20 space. All rentals are for one season. Plots can be obtained starting today at Community and Protective Services at 10005-100 Ave. (Legacy Park). Those with any inquiries are asked to contact Kristi Sullivan at 780-992-6265.
